Kendoturism med Tenri-universitetet 2026 (uppdaterad)

Tenri-universitetet i Tenri, Nara, Japan firar 100 år och ordnar som en del av sitt firande planer ett femdagarsprogram med kendofokus den 18-23 februari 2026. Programmet kommer ledas av KARUKOME Yoshitaka, kendo kyoshi 7dan och idrottsforskare vid Tenri-universitetet.

15:00 – Experience and practice: Forms of Classical Swordsmanship (Jikishinkage-ryu)
16:30 – Kendo practice (optional)

February 20

9:00 – Lecture: Japanese Mythology and Kendo
11:00 – Visit to Isonokami Shrine
12:30 – Lunch break
14:00 – Lecture: Martial Arts Nurtured in Yamato Province (Yagyū Shinkage-ryu and Hōzōin Spear Techniques)
16:30 – Kendo practice (optional)

February 21

Morning – Observation of Hōzōin-ryu Spear Technique Practice
  Venue: Nara City Central Martial Arts Hall
12:00 – Lunch break
13:00 – Visit to Kasuga Taisha Shrine and Kōfuku-ji Temple
  Free time for a stroll in the surrounding area afterward
17:00 – Meet at JR Nara Station

February 22

7:30 – Morning Kendo practice (optional)
9:00 – Depart from university
10:00 – Visit Yagyū no Sato (Yagyū Village)
  Sites: Hōtoku-ji Temple, Ittōseki (One-Sword Stone), Samurai Residence
14:00 – Visit Iga Shinai Craftsman Workshop
17:00 – Return to university
18:30 – Farewell party
